About Us

We are a registered charity run entirely by volunteers dedicated to providing help and support to the people of Sunderland and the surrounding districts, who have or have suffered from some form of cardiac trauma and their partners or carers.

Members have access to exercise sessions and social activities.
We also incorporate “Active at 60” which was developed to help anyone aged 60 or over wishing to improve their health and well being by making full use of the services we provide.

We first came together as a small group in 1993 and have been supporting each other ever since.
We are affiliated to the British Heart Foundation and are one of over 120 support groups. You may like to visit the BHF support group page link and watch a short video about the activities of a typical support group video link.
