The group successfully applied for, and have been awarded £7,450 from the Big Lottery Fund for a new project: Affordable exercise for Older People. We hope to encourage anyone in the Sunderland area who is aged 60 or older to do gentle exercise at their own pace alongside our existing cardio exercise classes in the coming months. In regards to the Comic Relief funding mentioned below, on Thursday January 19th 2017  we had a visit, at the exercise class from a Comic Relief team. Consisting of  BBC Look North, the presenter of the Breakfast show on Radio Newcastle Alfie Joey,the Evening Chronical, and local comedian Patrick Monahan. They were all impressed with the group, and seemed to have a good time. Short Video
